Our newest service, Lifestyle Session, is designed for parents who want natural and storytelling style portraits. With minimum posing, it works great with older newborns as your newborn will feel safe and secured in your arms the entire session. The session is done at my home studio in Mulgrave where I have a beautiful Boho "living room" style setup so you don't have to worry about tidying up your home for the photos! I know having a newborn can be hard, pregnancy changes your body shape. That's why I have a lifestyle wardrobe with 20+ dresses (Fit 14-18 AU size) for mum to choose from so you don't have to worry about finding a dress. Your partner and older children are also welcome to be in the photoshoot. 

Grandparent Add-On is now available! You can now add grandparents to the session for extra $50. The price is for 2 grandparents. Please note this is for the grandparents with grand children only. 3 generation photos are not available for this package and cannot be done due to the size of the backdrop is not big enough for large group of people.

👉 photograph up to 4 people (2 adults and 2 children) 3 generation photos are not available with this package. 
 

You will typically get 50-80 photos in your proof gallery. I know it can be hard to narrow it down to 15 favourite photos. Extra photos can be ordered for the price below.

My studio hours are Monday - Friday 9:30-4.30.  After hour bookings are limited but can also be arranged for an extra 15% surcharge on top of the session price.

Lifestyle FAQs

1. What is a lifestyle Photo Style? 

A lifestyle photoshoot usually refers to an in-home session or in-studio that is set up to look like living room/bedroom. The photos are candid and casual. Very minimal posing.

2. Can I wear my own outfits? 

You are welcome to bring your own outfits. However, I do highly recommend to stick to the colour tones I provide.
Because of its casual setups, the lifestyle photos rely heavily on outfits and backgrounds to elevate the overall artistic presentation.

3. The photoshoot is for 1 hour, what if my baby is not settled during the shoot? 

We work according to time slots. As long as the minimum photos and setups are achieved. We do not extend the photoshoot over the booking time. I am very experienced and have worked with babies and children for over 7 years full time, over 800 babies/children have been photographed here at our studio. I believe I can create a good gallery for you regardless of the circumstances. Parents have to also play their parts by arriving on time, feeding their baby before the session and allowing me to use soothing techniques where possible. Toddlers are especially hard to photograph. Parents of toddlers need to have realistic expectations. If your toddler does not want to be photographed, It does not matter how long the session goes for, 

4. Can you edit certain things out of photos, for example, flyaways hairs or photoshop parts of outfit?  

Lifestyle session is a casual and not designed to look perfect. A story telling style where everyday things are captured. Detail edits are not included in the package. However, it may be done with extra charge. We charge $100/hour editing service with minimum 30 minutes. Depends on how difficult the task is, 1 photo usually takes anywhere from 2-10 minutes to detail edit. ​​​​​​​​​​

5. How many looks do I get with Lifestyle session. 
Typically you get 6-9 looks, It depends on how many people are being photographed. The studio is a room where different corners offer a different look to the photos. Please see the sample of the proof gallery taken in September 2024 below (120 photos in total)
